OUR STORY

The Graffiti Ministries Learning Center began in 2015, offering one-on-one GED tutoring in a job site trailer parked across from Kaiser Park in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, New York. What we knew then is still true now — education is the tool for defeating the poverty cycle. As the word spread about Graffiti Ministries, one student became two, two became three, and before long, dozens of adult learners were being helped, and a children’s tutoring program was added. Graffiti Ministries quickly outgrew the tiny trailer and moved to a larger space, allowing thousands of people to be served each year.
